So if you are a chinese person, and you speak a little english it might consist of the following...(imagine a strong chinese accent) "Herro, what is yo name? Herro Herro" It is beautiful to be here. Me and Michelle are having a fantastic time and just love being here. We took a taxi from the airport and it was very expensive....so just buses, trains and walking from now on.
After arriving (finally) at our cute hostel we started to wander the streets. Literally outside our door is the pearl river and the most fitness concious chinese people we have ever encountered. They have little parks with fitness equipment that looks like childrens toys, but its for adults. We were very hungry so we found us some noodles for breakfast and can you believe that for two people it only cost us 8 yuan, which is roughly 1 american dollar.
Afterwords we rode the subway into the city center and spent about 3 hours trying to find some temple and a vegetarian restaraunt. We found the temple but not the restaraunt. We were to hungry and tired to go into the temple, but we did find a nice little muslim place that had some of our favorite dishes. After we ate we were zombies. We were too tired to go on considering the time difference and a loooong nap was in store for us. Now we are awake long enough to just eat and go back to sleep.
This is just one of the amazing things you can experience in China. A giant pair of golden pants.
This is Michelle just checkin out the hood. This is an entryway into a housing complex. Inside there are lots of underware hanging to dry.
And here is our ride on the subway. We would like both of us in these pictures at the same time, but alas, we just don't trust our expensive camera to strangers.
zai jian until later.
